Stephanie Borowy

Stephanie Hamed Borowy is a Licensed Professional Counselor, and a CT Certified School Psychologist. She has had extensive experience in behavior management and rehabilitation counseling, particularly in the area of brain injury. She has had extensive training in long term residential and outpatient settings, and in CT public schools. In particular, Ms. Borowy’s training includes time on a secured residential unit for young adults post – brain injury, exhibiting persistent behavior problems, as well as in an alternative special education school for middle and high school students who required more individualized support than that available in a regular education school setting. Ms. Borowy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Connecticut College, in New London, CT, as well as a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology at Southern CT State University, in New Haven, CT. Finally, Ms. Borowy earned her Sixth Year Certification in School Psychology at Southern CT State University. She has worked for nearly twenty years as a Certified School Psychologist in CT, facilitating individual and group counseling, completing comprehensive psychoeducation assessments, and designing and implementing FBA’s. Her current community involvement includes time spent volunteering with brain injury survivors in rehabilitation at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, CT, as well as with a local church youth group.
