Jenna Harma

Jenna Harma is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC) whose clinical experience has concentrated on the treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. She graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, completing her graduate internship providing individual counseling and parent guidance to youth and their families at Westwood Youth and Family Services. Jenna’s early work experience includes serving as a milieu counselor and case manager/family therapist at the Franciscan Hospital for Children’s Residential Assessment and Acute Residential Treatment Programs and a clinician for St. Francis Home for Children’s Residential Treatment and Extended Day Treatment Programs providing individual, group, and family therapy to youth ages 5 to 17 years old. She was also employed by Wheeler Clinic as a clinician for their Crisis Stabilization Program, an alternative to hospitalization program for adolescents in crisis. She has been an outpatient therapist at Connecticut Behavioral Health since 2019 and also works as an elementary School Based Behavioral Health Clinician with Cornerstone Counseling Center. Jenna has experience working with youth with a variety of social, emotional, and behavioral struggles such as anxiety, depression, disruptive behavior disorders, adjustment disorders, mood disorders, and child-parent relationship issues. She is in the process of becoming a Registered Play Therapist (RPT) through the Association for Play Therapy and utilizes a prescriptive approach to treatment, assessing client’s needs and building on their strengths through the use of therapeutic play, child-centered, and cognitive-behavioral techniques.
